How we started
Shimmy = my name.
26 = my call.
The diamond = what I became
In 2020, I lost my wife to COVID. It was a harrowing experience, but from that pain, a seed of purpose was planted. I returned to the park where we once fed ducks together, and my eyes opened to the others in need: the homeless, the hungry and the forgotten.
That’s when Feed Da Ducks was born.
What started as personal healing then became a mission to help everyone, from Birmingham to the world.
To support this mission, I launched Shimmy Diamonds, a premium fashion brand. It was forged by pain, and built with purpose, with a goal.
Every purchase helps to fund our work, and together we form Umbrella 26. It is a symbol of shelter, love & strength.
